Montgomery joined Beacon in January 2013 taking on the the task of the tactical daily direction of the operations team and strategic vision of the organization. He provides leadership to direct reports and team leads and makes strategic decisions that influence the customer experience and the financial performance of the organization.

Montgomery has over 20 years in executive management, beginning with being a co-partner with one of the first software companies in Nashville. As an entrepreneur he has founded four companies, three are still ongoing. The fourth, Montgomery Motorsports, competed in both the NASCAR Busch & Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA. (Proud to have partnered with both Alice Cooper, with whom we won the 2005 ARCA race in Daytona) and Bobby Hamilton.

Ray has a Masters of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a BA – Business Administration with concentration in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin
